Windermere is an ideal base for your Lake District holiday, with Ambleside and Keswick only a short drive through beautiful mountain scenery. Grasmere and Dove Cottage the home of William Wordsworth are only a 20 minute drive from Ivythwaite Guest House, whatever you choose to do if you stay in Windermere you wont be far from enjoying the spleandours the Lake District has to offer.
