Built in 1802 as an English gentleman's country residence, Crag Brow Hotel has retained all of its original character within. Our policy is of continual improvement and updating without losing that traditional feel of a true Lakeland retreat. All of our 11 bedrooms are beautifully decorated to the highest of standards and all are en-suite with a bath or shower. Every room comes equipped with colour TVs, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, toiletries and direct dial telephones. All of our guests also receive free access to the nearby Parklands Leisure Club where you can go swimming, use the gym or enjoy a game of squash, badminton, table tennis or snooker. Some superior and Premier rooms are available that are larger or have views of Lake Windermere, please ask for details. Rooms are available as doubles, twins and some are suitable for families. CoCo's restaurant at Crag Brow Hotel produces and array of innovative food using only the best of local produce. Our busy restaurant serves dinner each evening and reservations are always reccommended. Crag Brow Hotel is the ideal base for your holiday in The Lake District, we are situated within easy walking distance of many of the major attractions, including Windermere Lake Cruises and the World of Beatrix Potter which incorporates the increasingly popular Old Laundry Theatre. You could also choose to take out a rowboat or catch a steamer to go sightseeing around the picturesque village of Ambleside. If you wanted to venture further afield we are within easy driving distance of all the major towns, villages, lakes and mountains or alternatively we can arrange for you to be picked up from the hotel for a tour around the area.
